Frequently Asked Questions

Beginning something new can bring questions. Below are some of the most common concerns I hear from women considering Ayurveda and holistic counselling in Currumbin Valley and across the Gold Coast.

If your question is not answered here, you are always welcome to reach out.

  • Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It is based on understanding your unique constitution and restoring balance through food, daily rhythm, lifestyle practices and herbal support where appropriate.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, Ayurveda looks at the whole person, including digestion, hormones, nervous system regulation and emotional wellbeing.

  • No prior knowledge is required.

Many of the women I work with are completely new to Ayurveda. My role is to translate traditional principles into clear and practical guidance that fits into modern life on the Gold Coast and beyond.

Everything is explained simply and at your pace.

  • Before your appointment, you will complete a detailed wellness questionnaire. This allows me to assess your natural constitution (Prakruti), current imbalances (Vikruti), digestion, daily rhythm and emotional landscape.

During your 90 minute consultation, we explore your symptoms and patterns in depth. You will receive personalised guidance covering diet, lifestyle, daily routine, nervous system support and herbal recommendations where appropriate.

After the session, you receive a structured written wellness plan to guide your next steps.

  • Yes. Consultations are available in person in Currumbin Valley on the southern Gold Coast.

Online consultations are also available for women across the Gold Coast, Northern Rivers and wider Australia.

  • I work primarily with women navigating:

    • Digestive issues including bloating, IBS and food intolerances

    • Hormonal imbalance, PMS and irregular cycles

    • Fertility and preconception care

    • Pregnancy and postpartum recovery

    • Anxiety, overwhelm and nervous system dysregulation

    • Fatigue and sleep challenges

    • Skin inflammation and immune concerns

If you are unsure whether your concern is suitable, you are welcome to enquire.

  • No.

My approach prioritises food, daily rhythm and lifestyle adjustments first. Herbal support may be recommended when appropriate, but it is never excessive or unnecessary.

The aim is sustainable wellness, not dependency on ongoing products.

  • Ayurveda does not replace conventional medical care. Instead, it offers a holistic perspective that considers digestion, emotional patterns, daily rhythm and constitution together.

Where needed, I refer clients to other health professionals and always work within my scope of practice.

  • Perfection is not the goal.

Ayurveda is about rhythm and gradual recalibration. We focus on simple and achievable changes that fit your real life, including motherhood, work and family responsibilities.

Small, consistent steps create lasting change.

  • Every person is different.

Some women notice shifts in digestion or energy within a few weeks. Hormonal or deeper imbalances may take longer to stabilise.

The focus is on building sustainable foundations rather than chasing immediate but temporary results.

  • Yes. I offer support for fertility, pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

For breastfeeding mothers with babies or toddlers, we treat mother and child together, as maternal balance directly impacts the baby.

Children under 16 require a primary caregiver present.

  • At this stage, consultations are offered individually, with follow up sessions recommended approximately 6 to 10 weeks after your initial appointment.

Longer term mentorship programs and online offerings are currently in development.

  • It is completely normal to feel uncertain.

If you would like to ask questions before booking, you are welcome to schedule a 15 minute discovery call. This is a calm and no pressure conversation to explore whether this approach feels aligned for you.
